Klet & Travelling -- June 17, 2019

Čau,

Well, this week was a lot of traveling.

Monday I helped my companion catch the train and then I spent some time with the Glassers until I had to take a train to plzen. It was about an hour and a half train ride by myself which was pretty strange. I met up with sister Rudd and I got to see some sights around Plzen. Then I got to talk to my family. Then we had family home evening and only one member showed up, so we ended up just planning activities we could do. Then we came home. It was a pretty laid back day.
Tuesday we took a train to Prague and talked to some Germans on the train, so that was pretty cool. Then sis Rudd had Visa work so I got to do some finding with a slovak sister who is also training. It was a lot of fun. Then we had a training for the trainers with President Pohořelicky and his wife. It was really good. Then we were able to meet the new missionaries. My greenie didn't receive her Visa, so I will be bouncing between 2 areas with sister Rudd. It will be busy! Then we crashed at the Prague sister training leaders apartment.

Wednesday we had a training with the new missionaries. President Pohořelicky again complimented me in front of all the missionaries on how clean our house was and that it felt like a temple. It was a good training. Then we did a bunch of traveling. First we took a 2 hour train ride to plzen so sister Rudd could grab some more clothes and then we took another 2 hour train ride to ceske budějovice. We are going to have to bounce back and forth between areas, so it will be busy! We also had a lesson with Radek and taught him about the 10 commandments and sabbath day observance. It was a good lesson and Sister Rudd and I worked well together.

Thursday we had a wonderful lesson with Andrea. We taught her about faith and how going to church, reading the sciptures, and praying will help us strengthen our faith. She said the closing prayer and the spirit just overwhelmed her and she started crying. It was powerful. Then we had to take a bus quite a ways to go visit a cute couple. They were really inrerested in personal experiences and had some trouble believing in the Book of Mormon. We were able to teach them the restoration and and had a good discussion. It was a good day.

Friday we did weekly planning for both Plzen and České Budějovice. It is hard because we are literally trying to cover 1/5 of the Czech republic. We have our hands full. We had a lesson with a man from Africa that went really well. We re-taught the restoration to see how much he remembered and he understands it well. We encouraged him to keep reading and praying.

Saturday we had district council and skyped in the Elders from Plzen. Then we went and visited Věra. We shared a spiritual thought and played uno again. I love her. Then we had a lesson with Radek and started planning his baptism. It is a slow going process and I honestly can't figure out what is holding him back. He's been taught all the lessons a few times, we've gone through all the baptismal interview questions, he comes to church every week, he comes to all of our activities we put on. He's more active then most members, but he just won't step into the water. It is quite frustrating and I'm not sure what to do. We had sports night and played soccer and then went to dinner at the Indian Resturant with the Elders and Glassers. On the way home, we got caught in a huge rain storm and got soaked, so we ended up just jumping in the puddles on the way home. Haha

Sunday was wonderful because we had two of our investigators at church. Then we visited Věra and olina. Afterwards we had a lesson with a new investigator and it went well. Then we had a Skype lesson with an investigator in Plzen. Technology is a blessing. Then I got to Skype my wonderful family and wish my dad happy Father's Day.

Today we hiked a mountain to Kleť and it was really pretty.

I'm grateful for the book of mormon and I know that it is true. President gave us a challenge to read 20 pages in the book of Mormon everyday. My testimony has grown a lot as I have recieved inspiration and answers to my questions. It is a beautiful book.

I love you all. Have a wonderful week.

Sestra Guymon
