Ahoj!
This week was incredibly busy! We got transfer calls. I am follow up training the one sister that came into the mission last transfer in česke Budějovice!!! Her name is Sestra Ockey and she is from Provo Utah! Its going to be a fun transfer because now I'm the one that is supposed to lead out with the language! To say the least, neither of us speak great Czech, so we will be relying on the spirit a lot.
Monday we got all our shopping and cleaning done then went to the Dransfields to Skype our family, make p-day pancakes and play some games. We also did our 3 hours of procyliting.
Tuesday we went to district council in jihlava and did some group finding. We took a portable whiteboard to the names to and wrote the question why God allows bad things to happen and then we had people come and write the answers. It was very effective and we had a lot of really good gospel conversations. Then we came home and taught English class.
Wednesday I had visa work in Prague, so we had to catch a bus at 5:45 AM to prague. We were able to go to lunch with the STL's in prauge which is my trainer, sister Roberts. It was so fun to see her. Then we took a bus home. Then we taught our neighbor boys English.
Thursday we had culture night because we had a baptism this transfer. We went to a castle called Brtnice. It is a pretty old castle and we toured around inside. It was cool. Then our bus home was 45 minutes late, so that was sad. Sister Sewell didn't even bring a coat, so she was freezing. Poor thing. Then we worked on cleaning out the area book.
Friday we finally had a normal day. We did a lot of contacting and found 2 potentials. Then we did weekly planning to prepare the area for next transfer.
Saturday we did a service project with trebic. We planted trees in a park. The whole branch got together and wore the Mormon Helping Hands vests. It was a really fun service project and fun to see the whole community get together to do service. While we were doing service, we got transfer calls. That was exciting. Then we went service tracting with the Elders and then gathered at the church at 6:00PM for general conference. It was amazing! Then we went to dinner with the Elders and the Dransfields.
Sunday we went around and visited members and I said goodbye to people and gave them little notes I wrote. Babi Poho gave me a cute little ceramic elephant to remember her by. Then we said a prayer at a beautiful lookout in Trebic to get the work booming there. Then we went to the church to watch general conference. There was a session at 2:00 and then another one at 6:00. In between sessions, we had food and visited with members. The cute members all wrote me little notes, gave me a cool painting and some chocolates. I'm really going to miss the members here in Trebic!
Today was pretty crazy. We caught a bus at 10:00 AM and Tonda met us at the bus station to say goodbye even though he was sick. He gave me a necklace which was sweet of him. I rode on a bus with Starsi Graff to Ceske Budejovice because we are serving together again. haha. I'm happy I didn't have to travel alone. We got here and then the senior couple the glassers helped me get my luggage home. We live on the 5th floor of a ponolock :)Then we met up with the Elders and bought phones!!! Now we are at the glassers setting our phones up and emailing!
I'm so grateful for general conference. The questions that I had were answered and the spirit really touched my heart. I know President Nelson is a prophet on the earth and that he truly does receive direction for us from God. I love you all.
s laskou,
Sestra Guymon
