Telč-- March 4, 2019

Ahoj!

How has everyone's week been? Mine has been full of miracles, learning experiences, and fun with the branch.

Last Monday after I sent my email we had a cool miracle that  I wanted to share. We returned to a ponolock that said we could return, however, they weren't home, so we tried one other person that said "maybe" Well this maybe turned into a yes and a guy came down and talked to us for an hour and we were able to teach him the restoration. He had a lot of great questions. He spoke in English and we spoke in Czech and coached each other on the language. It was really cool. We are looking forward to meeting with him again. I know Heveanly Father prompted us to try that "flat" just one more time, because last time, it was a woman who answered.

Tuesday we had a lesson with a woman we contacted on the street. She said our smiles were what made her interested. The lesson didn't go very well, however. She kind of just wanted to aruge with us the whole time about what we believed. But we just testified of the restoration and did our best to keep it peaceful. Then we had another lesson with Martin who is a less active, we caught him outside of a bar earlier this week, which was so sad. The spirit was so strong when I testified of the atonement and that I knew God still loved him and that we still loved him. The words that came out, honestly were not my own. Then that evening we taught our English class and that went really well.

Wednesday we had a lesson with a dad we contacted on the street last week. We met at a park so his daughters could play while we talked. While we waited for him, we contacted a grandma and she was so nice. We taught and testified to her and she asked for our number to meet next week, it was cool. Then we met up with Lukas, the dad.  We ended up teaching the plan of salvation and he had a lot of incredibly deep questions but it was great. It really all comes down to if he wants to try it and keep commitments. Agency is the best gift, but also the worst! haha.

Thursday we had zone training in Brno so we took a train there. And then Sister Sewell, showed me a never ending elevator. Literally it never stops and you just jump in and jump out and it goes in an oval up and down. It doesn't have any doors. It was pretty cool. Training was incredible. I felt the spirit so strong and we got some really great finding advice from President. Then we all did some group finding together which was a lot of fun.

Friday I contacted this man and he said I had an accent and asked where I was from and how long I had been here. He didn't believe me at all that I had been here for 4 months. He said it wasn't possible for me to learn Czech that fast. I told him that I had god's help. It turned into a pretty good contacted and we were able to teach him a bit. Then we had an activity with the primary. We made paper airplanes, played with a parachute, sang, and danced. It was a lot of fun.

Saturday morning we deep cleaned the church building. We painted, we cleaned the windows, the hearters, the drawers... literally everything. It took a long time, but it looked good afterwards and they fed us lunch. I was glad we were able to serve and spend time with the members. That evening President came over to our house for interviews. It was a little strange being alone with President in our apartment, but it was good. He is amazing. I really admire him and his knowledge.

Sunday was fast sunday and I learned a lot about relationships and how to work through disagreements. I've learned to humble myself, to listen to the things my companion has concerns about, to understand, and forgive her. There is no way we can have the spirit when there is tension in our compaionship. I have learned to talk through it and forgive quickly so that we can bring the spirit back and return to work. It is a good life skill I've been developing. We pretty much tracted all of Sunday and had one lesson with a less active member.

Today we went to Telč with our district and it was a lot of fun to spend time with them.

I love you all and am praying for you. I know Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers.

s laskou,

Sestra Guymon
