Rozembek & Cleaning -- May 20, 2019

Čau rodina a kamarádi,

Tuesday we had district council and did some group finding afterwards at the University, but there weren't a lot of people outside so we ended up knocking on doors. We also taught our beginners English class which was fun.

Wednesday it rained all day. Honestly, it has rained every day this entire month. We had a first lesson with a guy we found and called in the area book. It went pretty well and we set up to meet again next week. Then we were planning on visiting a returning member, but she canceled on us last minute. It turned out being ok though because it gave us time to do weekly planning which we didn't really have time for the rest of the week.
Thursday the STL's from Prague came which was really fun, because they are the sisters that trained both Sister Ockey and I. We did a practice and then I spent the day with Sister Roberts. Our first lesson didn't show up which was sad. Then we got our studies done and visited Věra and shared a spiritual thought with her. Next, we went to visit a lady we set up with, but she wasn't home, so we just tracted. We were able to find 2 people that were interested and set up with them for next week. Then we went to dinner together with the Elders.

Friday we sent the STL's on their way and then got our studies done. Then we went and  talked to people on the street until we had a lesson. Well, the lesson didn't show up and wouldn't answer their phone. So, we went and tracted for a while. Then all of us went to dinner with a elder that just got home from his mission and came back to visit the country. It was fun and we got svičkova which was delicious.
Saturday was quite busy. We gave the senior couple a Czech lesson. Then we ran over to Věra's house to clean. Oh man, that was quite the adventure. It was pretty disgusting. There were some things that Věra said hadn't been cleaned for over 15 years. Gross! Then we ran home to change quickly and raced to a lesson with the less active we visited the day before that said we could come back. Well, they didn't answer the door or their phone. So, we tried to contact a referral that was sent to us from Ukraine. The address took us to a business and so we tracted it. We didn't have any luck. So, we got permission to call the number from Ukraine. It didn't work, the number only works through a specific app that we don't have. So we called the Elders that sent the referral to get more information about him. They are going to try and get his email so we can get in contact. Then we had sports night, but no one showed up, so we just cleaned the church building. We did a lot of cleaning today!

Sunday we had church and I gave a talk. It went well. I talked about member missionary work and ministering. Then we went and visited olina. We took her some basic food and the elders gave her the sacrament, then we shared a spiritual thought. Afterwards, we rang a lot of doorbells. :) Then we called some people to get lessons set up for next week. We finished off the day with correlation with the branch president.

Today we went to a castle called Rožmberk and walked like 2 miles down a beautiful forrest road to get there. It was really pretty. It rained the whole time and we got really wet, but it was fun none the less.

I re-read President Uchdorf's talk this week from last General Conference which included 5 guilt free things we can do to share the gospel

1. Draw close to God
2.  Fill your heart with love for others
3. Strive to walk the path of discipleship
4. Share what is in your heart
5. Trust the lord to work his miracles

I really love l these 5 steps. I know that after we have done all that we can, the lord does the rest. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

S laskou,

Sestra Guymon
